Gerald "Jerry" Schrader 1943-2001
OMAHA, Neb. --- Gerald A. "Jerry" Schrader, 57, Omaha, died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at an Omaha hospital.
Mr. Schrader was a retired track foreman for the Union Pacific Railroad in Omaha.
He was born May 26, 1943, in Houston, to Richard Schrader Sr. and Doris Applegate Schrader. He grew up in Lawrence, Kan., but had lived in Omaha for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Schrader, Omaha; a daughter, Lori Strutton, Ivy Bend, Mo.; two sons, Link Schrader, Los Angeles, and Kevin Schrader, of the home; three brothers, James Schrader, Austin, Texas, Richard Schrader Jr., Lawrence, and Edwin Schrader, Tecumseh, Kan.; a sister, Peggy Cobb, Gardner, Kan.; stepfather, Harold Seele, Baldwin City, Kan.; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lawrence. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary, Lawrence.
